Easter Week-end – Friday, April 22nd (weather permitting)
Bhakti Yoga – Bushwalk / Picnic – Long Bay Regional Park (Site 1)
Bushwalk starts at 10.00am
There are a number of ‘feature walks’ for you and your family to choose from. Families with younger children may like to follow the short (40min) ‘Nature trail’… or come along for whatever length of time suits you, on the main ‘Costal walk’ to Pahutakawa Bay, which will take approximately two hours total. There are many suitable places along the way, for you to stop and return to our picnic site.
Those ‘experienced walkers’ who want to go further, can continue on to Okura River (3 hours return)
Whatever walk you choose, don’t forget to wear suitable walking shoes… and bring sun screen, hats, water, etc.
Kirtans, games & activities from 10am
For those not wishing to go on the ‘feature walks’, Kirtans, games and activities will be available from 10am and will continue throughout the day. It might even still be warm enough for the keen swimmers amongst us. You are most welcome to come along at any time of the day.
Lunch Prasadam 1.00pm
Let’s make it another ‘unforgettable lunch-time prasadam feast’. One of the highlights of our last picnic was how everyone brought along a sumptuous preparation. We can’t wait to see what you come up with this time.
Sponsorship
The last picnic was sponsored by several devotees.
So that we can continue to hold regular (spiritual) fun events for the pleasure of all the young and old Vaisnava devotees, we ask everyone to contribute something according to their means, to help pay for the site hire, extra cooking, equipment, etc.
Be sure that whatever you pop into the donation box (large or small) on the day, will make a difference!
Looking forward to seeing all of you again,
Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada!
Jaya Sila das, Vimala devi dasi & Bhakti Yoga Team.
